SERVICES:  Parental support groups offered  (Postpartum depression, Latino Mami, grief and recovery related groups are available). Provides customized searches of child care providers.  Maintains a comprehensive database of licensed childcare facilities (including Montessori), licensed group homes, registered family homes, and parent’s day out programs, after-school care, and camps.  Customized searchers are available at no cost to families with low income; otherwise the program offers a sliding fee scale ranging from $0-25.  If the family does pay a fee, they may use the service 6 times with in the 6 months. Bilingual services available.  Hours M-F 9am to 5pm.   Provides free resources for parents and child care providers, including an information line to answer parents’ and teachers’ questions regarding child development and parenting issues.  They also have a lending library of children’s books and toys, as well as books, videos and research articles for parenting, child development, and early childhood education.  In addition, they offer training workshops for child care providers.  They offer free parenting workshops on a wide variety of topics, including; newborn basics, sleep issues, positive parenting, child development, baby and child nutrition, handling the teen years, and more.

SERVICES: Grief/loss support and peer assistance. For the Love of Christi provides many different types of free programs to educate the general public about the issues of grief and other concerns of the bereaved. Support groups offered - Children age 5 – 12 and their parents or guardian 2nd and 4th Wednesdays from 6:30 – 8:00 pm at the Christi Center. Teens ages 13 to 17 first, third and fourth Mondays of the month from 7:00 to 9:00 pm.  Adults (men and women) first, third and fourth Mondays from 7:00 pm to 9:00 pm. No Bilingual services at this time.

 The three basic requirements for living in the communities are:
• You meet specific income guidelines (which vary by location)
• You pass criminal and credit checks
• You have a good rental history

 After looking at our information to find the community that's best for you:
 

1.      Use the contact info provided to talk to property management staff that can tell you if there are any vacancies.

2.      If there aren't, call your second choice. If there are no vacancies at your preferred communities, be sure to ask if you can be put on a waiting list, or ask for a good time to call to see if any to see if any homes have opened. 

3.      If there is a vacancy that meets your needs, make an appointment to visit the apartments, discuss income requirements and rental rates and fill out an application. There is an application fee.  

4.      The application process takes 2-3 days for approval.
